Since I moved out over a year ago, my visits home with my family are always cherished. Recently we have made it a tradition to celebrate what my dad has dubbed “Salsa Sunday” on a weekly basis. Besides delicious salsa, the day consists of surfing, movies, bike rides, barbequing, chatting around the fire pit, and lots of laughing.

When a day is all about family, friends, and the beach, it is going to all work together perfectly. For yesterday’s Salsa Sunday adventure I chose to wear my neon tank top and a pair of army green harem pants (both items were perfect for throwing over my swimsuit). This outfit is laid back and effortless, yet all the while making me look cute and put together. I even borrowed from family (the pants are my husband’s!). It was perfect for hiking down to the sand, meeting with relatives for lunch, and still cute enough to visit the boutiques and coffeehouses of San Clemente. Not to mention, I looked cute in all the pictures my dad posted on Instagram without permission! This outfit was the perfect compliment to a fun and relaxing day spent with the people I love most, and isn’t that what summer is all about?
