Top 3 Summer Bag Trends…

On the fringe, or rocking the fringe? Either way, these favorites have our top satchel trends in the bag:

g0002vxx
1. The Bag with the Fringe:
Rocking far superior summer accoutrement than the boots with the fur, the bag with the fringe can take on our favorite boho charm, or add a rock edge to this season’s favorite ‘skinny dress’ and shades.

2. The Crossbody:
Ever try to really rock-out with your oversized tote? Aside from the limited range you’d achieve on your air guitar and decreased power slide distance, the the amount of spilled beverage due to your tote flinging around the dance floor is enough to make 20 kittens cry. 20. Instead of carrying around all of your excess baggage, opt for this season’s favorite little crossbody bag.

3. The Oversized natural beach bag:
Go au naturel this summer by sporting the go-to carry-all…the large (and in charge of your style) beach tote. An ode to the 60′s, and a perfect match for the maxi skirt, natural straw, canvas and burlap styles are sure to rule the beach scene. Our favorite: the Billabong Day Tripper Bag. Perfect for traveling, beach trips, and (dare we say it this soon), a go-to book/computer bag.

Aloha in the UK: Two Seasons

twoseasonsexeter1
Drive on the wrong side of the road? Are you a fan of both SWELL and of spelling the word color, “colour”? If your answers are “yes,” and “surely,” we think this one might tickle your fancy…

For all of our UK fans, give a looksie at Two Seasons. They are the UK’s fastest growing board sports retailer with 25 stores nationwide. They have been selling snowboards, skis, skate & surf clothing since 1983 and have a massive range of brands on board such as Billabong, Nixon, Element, Von Zipper and Dakine.

For surfers there is a sweet range of clothing and accessories to choose from. Whether it’s a pair of board shorts or a wetsuit they stock a range to meet everyone’s needs. Billabong and Excel wetsuits will keep you warm in the water but if it’s warm enough already you can choose a pair of boardies from the likes of Volcom, RVCA, Quiksilver or Billabong.

Skaters have the option of buying from brands such as Element, RVCA, Enuff and Enjoi. They also have Sector 9 and Mindless long boards for those who are more chilled about how they get around!

They sell a great range of winter clothing and accessories, for example you can get kitted out for this winter on the slopes from head to toe in a pair of Von Zipper goggles, Billabong snowboard jacket, Dakine gloves, Ice Breaker Base layers, Bonfire snowboard trousers and a pair of Burton Snowboard boots. Now there is no excuse not to stomp that 7 tail of that black booter, well maybe!

If you’re in the UK, swing bye and say hi for us.

Matt Wilko in Indo

Check out this vid of Rip Curl team rider Matt Wilkinson turning indonesian lefts and rights into his own personal skatepark..

After the Quik pro at Snapper rocks, it’s hard not to love Wilko. As if hacking his way to the quarters on his backside wasn’t bad ass enough, Wilko showed up to the event sporting a fresh pair of rollerblades and a hair piece that’d make Robert Plant jealous.

This sick little segment was put together to help promote the Mirage boardshorts pictured below. It features some ag footage and some music that’s… er…. well.. we’re divided on the tune over here…what do you guys think?

Aussie rap…

would you rock it like a pair of fruitboots or change radio stations immediatley?

Let us know in the comments section below
and check out the Mirage Pheonix trunks that feature Rip’s latest team-rider-tested, Wilko approved boardshort technology:

Product Review – HangGoose Wetsuit Hanger

At one point or another we have all been guilty of leaving a dripping wetsuit in the back of our trucks only to find a musty pile for our next session. It’s not that we don’t care, it’s just many of us can’t be bothered to find a decent place (or way) to store our rubber after a tiring surf. Well worry no more because the HangGoose is here!
HangGoose

Straight from the frigid waters of Nor Cal comes this solid, beautifully crafted collapsible wetsuit hanger. Designed and perfected by a surfer/contractor from Humboldt County, the HangGoose’s smooth teak body is as refined as it is useful.
HangGoose

So what’s different about this hanger? you might ask..

Unlike a normal hanger the ‘Goose hangs your suit from the middle, which lets it dry quicker and doesn’t stretch out the neck or shoulders. Also included on both the sides of the hanger are posts specifically made for draining/airing out your booties. No other method works better for eliminating that scummy water build up when stowing your boots. Then, to top it off, at the base of the hanger is a fastening string that allows gloves or any other gear to be hung alongside your suit.

So with the Goose your entire wetsuit quiver can be securely hung and dried with the greatest of ease. Now even the laziest of surfers out there will be able to properly care for their gear.

In turn all your expensive cold water gear will last longer and stay warmer for more than a couple seasons.

The HangGoose collapses for easy storage in your car or truck and can be hung just about anywhere, even door frames!

The ‘Goose makes a great great gift for groms and geezers alike… because no one likes a soggy, worn out suit..
