Not very many things motivate me enough to get out of bed early on a Sunday morning, in fact I think the flea market is the only event I’m all for waking up early on the weekend. This past weekend I wandered around the Long Beach antique market in search for unique pieces to add to my home and wardrobe. I fall in love each time with everything from old worn top hats to mid century furniture. The market is a great way to spend a summer day – but be careful because it is also a very easy and fun way to spend lots of money! The sun always seems to beat down on the crowds as they meander through the aisles, so I wore a hat and kimono to keep the sun off. A simple pair of denim shorts, tank, and sandals made me stay both comfortable and stylish as I walked around. With an outfit as trendy and eclectic as the setting, and a variety of vintage goods, quirky treasures, it was impossible to not have a good time. So next Sunday wake up early and I promise you that the flea market will not disappoint!

Retro is always a hit, and high waist shorts are definitely the throwback trend of the moment! I love nothing more than an old school style cut off. The main reason? These babies are FLATTERING. I mean, shorts that make your waist look tiny and your legs look long? Count me in!
