Since the beginning, we been privileged to feature some of surfing’s most innovative photographers, who have helped to progress and document the sport and lifestyle that we all share a passion for: surfing. Past winners include Chris Burkard, Mathew Clark, Todd Glasser, Morgan Maassen and Duncan Macfarlane. All have gone on to publish their work in major surf media outlets.
Honoring the legacy of one of surfing’s most influential figures, Larry “Flame” Moore, the Follow the Light Foundation was founded in 2006 to help finance the dreams of surf photographers, continuing to push the sport and its lensmen forward. As the Photo Editor of SURFING Magazine for 30 years, he left behind a legacy of brilliant photography and an army of photographers trained by him.

Celebrating its 7th year running, the FTLF Grant continues act as a catalyst for inspiration, setting a new standard, pushing the boundaries of surf photography, and showcasing the top rising talent.
