The New Holiday Lookbooks Have Landed!

There’s a new kid in town, well four really. It’s Swell’s new Holiday lookbooks! Everything we love about this season’s trends are backlit by whimsical and slightly quirky landscapes of bears, motorcycles and a bitchin’ DeLorean. Yeah! And it’s all designed by Southern Californian artist Matt Allen from The Ryde.

Pick your fav look and let us know what you think!

Wild at Heart: Wild at Heart takes traditional feminine touches and adds in a handful of flowing lines, free silhouettes, and earthy accents. Chiffon, sheer weaves, and delicate embroidery are paired with structured boots, tan leather accents, and slim denim for a care-free and girly look.

Easy Rider: It’s a focus on the Wild West, organic roots, and Native American elements. It’s a trend born out of free spirits and creativity of combinations and lines. Fringe, denim, deconstructed looks, leather, earth tones and traditional prints come together in a free-association of colors, layers and shapes. Unfinished silhouettes and unexpected pairs define the Easy Rider trend.

The Great Outdoors: Bringing out every city girl’s adventurous side, The Great Outdoors focuses on the new mountain man chic look, with all of the cozy fuzziness that come along with sherpa and flannel. This season’s coveted boots, denim and plaids create a look that makes even the girliest girl want to cozy up to the campfire.

Dirty Dancing: It’s your Holiday party guide sheet. When Prince sang “Purple Rain” for the first time, ruffles, smoke and satin billowed out of every high school dance. Dirty Dancing takes the essence of the album artwork and combines it with rich jewel tones, acid wash denim, and ruffled party dresses paired with rebellious moto jackets. It’s excess at it’s finest, hardware overload stretched to the limits. Think over-the-top, “Pretty in Pink,” a party scene written by Bret Easton Ellis.
