New Boardshort Technology: Imperial Motion “Tight & Right”

The new Imperial Motion Boardshorts are making waves with a hybrid technology that dug into pop’s closet for inspiration. It’s the Tight & Right waistband: fusing the functionality of the drawstring trunks of the 80′s with the kook-less look of a traditional boardshort. Ever try on a piece of clothing and though, “Wow, this fits juuust right!”? If that gets you stoked, these babies are right up your alley. The magic begins with the drawstring. Unlike with other boardies, it goes all the way through the waistband, allowing you to cinch them any way you want. Just hitting the surf? Tighten up and ride hard. Scarf one too many fish tacos? Let ’em out so your belly can breathe. There’s even a stretchy panel in the fly to ease the transition. IM calls the drawstring approach “Tight & Right.” All we know is, it works… so duck diving under heavy sets won’t result in an upper-cheek sunburn.
