The grass is always greener…where you water it. It’s one of my favorite metaphors for saying… love, cherish, and nurture what you’ve got, where you are, and what you’ve been blessed with. It’s so easy to compare yourself to others, which leads to a downward domino effect of taking what you have for granted, not appreciating the little things, and being a really blah human being. So water your own damn lawn, and water it a lot.
But to tie this in to the picture above. The grass is in fact always greener underneath a coconut tree. Because coconut trees are in the tropics, and it rains a lot there, so everything is lush and green.
So love and cherish what you’ve got, and try to go somewhere tropical with the ones you love too.
