A Slice Of Life | Surf Bikinis Guest Series by Stephanie Schechter

Post Three - 1

Every spring, female surfers face a major challenge. No, not finding a lineup that isn’t blown out by 11am… but finding some bikinis that actually stay on while surfing- that still look, you know, cute! There are plenty of bikinis out there dubbed “Surf Swimwear,” but often times their fabric is stiff, their cuts are unflattering, and behold: they STILL fall off. Personally, I have found that for bikini bottoms, cheeky cut, seamless suits actually stay on, and flatter the form of any body type! Of course, for women who want to look awesome while remaining modest, there are plenty of seamless cut full coverage bottoms, which also flatter all shapes and sizes! As far as tops go, coverage can be key. Really, finding tops that stay on while surfing truly depends on body type. As a surfer on the bustier side, I have found that the more coverage and support, the better. Usually sports bra style tops stay on the best, but it is definitely not worth sacrificing style… Fortunately, there are some super rad brands that make some pretty rad tops that provide plenty of sporty support!

SeaMade: #CityWild 3rd Point Stories of native wanderings by blogger, Madison

Exiting the canyon and making our way down Las Virgenes Road, I couldn’t help but reflect on how far we had come. From the campground to our makeshift trail to cliff jumps and stream paddles, we were all feeling really psyched and ready to jump in the ocean. The panoramic ocean view kept our minds off the heat mirages coming up off the pavement to lick our ankles.

Depending on what you’re in the mood for, and your creativity level, it can be a bandeau, a wrap top, a cross front, a or a traditional shoulder strap top. You can change up your preferred ‘kini top style mid beach-sesh for a style made for bronzing or beach volleyball. For all-around beach frolicking, you can’t go wrong with the T-back tie. Read on for the simple how-to…

West Coastin’ | Encinitas A Series On Sand + Sun with Guest Blogger Leah.

leah
When I saw the heat wave that was heading our way this week I immediately tried to plan a trip down south to enjoy it. Mid-week day trips are the best especially when the waves are epic and the air is 90 degrees. I spent a day down in Encinitas enjoying the waves, weather, and hippie vibes. Other than a bikini and board I packed my new favorite romper. It was perfect for slipping into after being in the water all day and fun to wear out while thrifting and eating lots of vegan food. Sometimes getting out even if for only a day makes the week that much better and easier to get through.
