As I have mentioned before, I am in my second year at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Here at UCSB, we take our surfing pretty seriously. Our surf team competes in the National Scholastic Surfing Association, and over the years we have accumulated 14 national titles! Our team is filled with some amazingly talented and intellectual individuals, and together we have some really fun times, be it surfing, hanging out, or studying in the library (well, as fun as studying can be). While both the boys and the girls on the team are totally rad, we couldn’t convince the dudes to pose in little bikinis… so today, I wanted to introduce you to some of my best friends: the sunkissed ladies of the UCSB Surf Team. Reason #522 why we love Flash Tattoos: easy nail art.
In addition to being swim-able, semi-permanent jewelry and great gifts (see our DIY Flash Tattoo Glasses tutorial), these metallic marvels moonlight as flashy nail decals. As if we really needed another reason to stock up. Read on for the how-to… (more…)

The weeks and days leading up to Thanksgiving are by far some of my favorite moments of the year. Excitement is in the air as you make arrangements for all the loved ones visiting. You try to pack your weekends in with every last fall adventure you can, because as soon as December comes around you’ll switch into the winter gear and focus on the holiday season. I’m not going to complain about the summer weather that just won’t kick it here in Laguna, but I do have a pile of cold weather styles just waiting to be loved. If you can’t wear leggings and a fur coat where you are, then take a drive and find a place you can – or at least that’s what I did! Big Bear is so beautiful this time of year with the changing leaves and bitter cold wind that sweeps through the giant pine trees. I was so giddy that I could finally wrap myself in a fur coat and go for a walk in the crisp morning air. For walks along wet roads, under a canopy of changing leaves, and cool wind on your face; the best outfit to wear is a warm coat, cozy leggings, and fuzzy boots. There is no better way to get excited for the Holiday season!
