West Coastin’ | San Onofre A Series On Sand + Sun with Guest Blogger Leah.

leah
There is nothing better than a three day weekend, especially when it’s 80 degrees out every single day. I got out of the house during this short holiday and wandered down to San Onofre. We parked our little surf mobile right on the sand and spent the whole day surfing, sleeping, and eating. I wore my vintage shorts while I was surfing, swimming,  and rolling around in the sand. They are not only a sexy fit, but are also my favorite bright, but faded colors. They keep you warm in the water and make for a cute little getup on the sand. After a full day, I began packing up and wore the perfect basic coverup just as the wind came up. I love this simple, fun dress as it goes with any bikini underneath and has a v-neck with lace up strings that make it fun to run and twirl around in. It was a perfect day with the perfect pieces. When you are headed for sun and surf all you need is a coverup, bikini, and wetsuit shorts… and your board of course.

New Year of Adventures Style Post by Guest Blogger, Leah.

leah2
This New Year I decided to get out and do the things I love ALL the time. Traveling is my love and so within the first week of the New Year I already planned a way to get up and get out each month of 2014. Most of these adventures will require a plane, but what I always forget is that there are adventures waiting for me here and I can always explore right where I am. This weekend I went for a hike in the back bay during sunset and loved walking through nature on my own little adventure in my “backyard”. Wild adventures and crazy travels are no excuse to look sloppy, brands like Billabong make it easy for us adventuring type to dress the part. Vintage denim shorts, moccasins, and flower crowns are always a good idea. And with this fringe cardigan and dreamy tank, it got me wishing for some summer festivals. If you can’t travel far, try stepping out right where you are… and dress cool while you are at it.

West Coast Winter Style Post by Guest Blogger, Leah.

Transitioning into the winter season is always difficult for me. The days are shorter and colder, and my summer tan that lingered through the fall disappears. One of the things I do love about the winter is that the beaches are empty and calm, and the ocean has a crisp look to it. I love sitting on the sand and watching the big sets roll through. On one of my recent winter beach excursions I wore my new favorite holiday dress. This flowy maxi dress is the perfect holiday color and can be worn so many ways. I went barefoot and put some of my favorite white winter flowers in my hair, but for my holiday parties I am planning on wearing a pair of platforms and a tribal choker necklace. I also love the fact that this dress has long sleeves – not only is it more flattering, but it keeps you warm on these cool nights! I think I will be able to make it through winter as long as perfect winter styles like these keep coming my way.
