diy-beach-bag-scarf-text
You’re packing for (insert your dream/actual Spring beach destination here). Maybe you’re like me, and just enjoy packing light, or maybe, between the bikinis, multiple footwear options, hats, more bikinis and the kitchen sink, a beach bag may just not fit into the mix. What to leave behind?! Panic sets in. This type of life-altering decision calls for a creative solution: pack one, multipurpose piece: a scarf. Among the list of things you’ll use it for (a beach wrap, racerback tank, blanket for the plane, head wrap, kimono…the list is endless), a beach /market bag is at the top in terms of space-saving functionality. Read below the break to learn how to tie your scarf into a beach bag… (more…)

Overall Daze Style Post by Guest Blogger, Leah.

I love overalls, I could live and sleep in overalls. There is nothing better than when I find a pair of great overalls that look even better on me than they do hanging on the rack. It doesn’t matter which brand, where they came from, or how old they are, they just have to fit me like they were designed just for me. Not only are these overalls the perfect fit, but they are jungle print. If you know me, I do not wander far from loud, fun prints. So my favorite print combined with my deep love for overalls, makes for a match made in outfit heaven. The great thing about overalls is, unlike dresses and skirts, you can jump and run around in them. These overalls brought out my inner tomboy. I completed my laid back look with a matching backwards hat and dreams of climbing around a lush jungle. Tie on some converse and you’ll be back in grade school, only this time you’ll be cooler. If you really want to get a little wild, I sometimes pair these overalls with a leopard coat. While that may sound too wild for some, my excuse has been that both prints are “jungle theme” that counts for something right?

West Coastin’ | San Onofre A Series On Sand + Sun with Guest Blogger Leah.

There is nothing better than a three day weekend, especially when it’s 80 degrees out every single day. I got out of the house during this short holiday and wandered down to San Onofre. We parked our little surf mobile right on the sand and spent the whole day surfing, sleeping, and eating. I wore my vintage shorts while I was surfing, swimming,  and rolling around in the sand. They are not only a sexy fit, but are also my favorite bright, but faded colors. They keep you warm in the water and make for a cute little getup on the sand. After a full day, I began packing up and wore the perfect basic coverup just as the wind came up. I love this simple, fun dress as it goes with any bikini underneath and has a v-neck with lace up strings that make it fun to run and twirl around in. It was a perfect day with the perfect pieces. When you are headed for sun and surf all you need is a coverup, bikini, and wetsuit shorts… and your board of course.
