Anna’s spring 2013 collection served as the starting point, with a print taken directly from her show and a few new prints inspired from her previous runway looks. Meet Your Maker | Pacific & Driftwood Designer and CEO Christian Cox Takes Swimwear "Beyond The Beach"


SWELL: Tell us a little about Pacific & Driftwood….what sparked you to start creating swimwear?

Christian Cox (CC): I was working as the Associate Designer for a luxury womenswear (RTW) brand when the thought crossed my mind to start my own swimwear co. I had gone on Christmas vacation to the Caribbean and before heading out of town I was trying to find a new bikini. I didn’t really love anything I was finding and wanted something with a little more edge, something fresh, and something no one else would be wearing. So I came up with my own design, and then cut and sewed it in my bedroom.
