Wish We Were Here: Ecuador | Part 3 A Mini Travel + Style Guide with Guest Blogger Leah.

After a long week at the contest, we headed down the coast to explore some beautiful beaches and surf spots. Driving along the Ecuadorian coastline is like nothing I have ever done before. All the homes are made mostly of bamboo and every home has at least one hammock hanging out front. When we reached our destination, Montañita, I fell in love with everything around me. The dirt roads are lined with bamboo beach shacks complete with surfboards and hammocks out front. There were about five different fruit stands selling fresh cut coconuts and every restaurant had bamboo benches and big bohemian pillows – it was beautiful! Not only was the town heavenly, but the surf was amazing and the beach was perfect.

Happy Record Store Day! Celebratory Sounds + Style

Every year music enthusiasts gather on the third Saturday of April to celebrate Record Store Day. This festivity is something most vinyl junkies wait for all year.  Luckily the wait is over: April 19th has arrived! Its purpose is to celebrate the artists, fans and the culture that surrounds the independently owned record store.  Many local stores hold parties with live music, giveaways and discounts on their products.  Naturally, we want you to find the best parties and get a steal-of-a-deal, so we had our employees divulge their hot spots for shopping vinyl, rummage through their collections for their favorite album, and pass along some celebratory style….

Take a moment to visualize complete chaos. Got it? Rush hour traffic in the middle of Los Angeles is a prime example that quickly comes to my mind. Now visualize the complete opposite. If you need some help, imagine this: a nature zone with over 4,000 acres just 25 miles from downtown Los Angeles, complete with hiking trails and an iconic point break. When presented with an opportunity to escape chaos, Malibu Creek State Park was our calling.
