Remember the days when you’d see a surf movie premier, but had to wait 3 months to buy the movie and rewind every cutty from your favorite surfer? Well the wait is over… and the flick is FREE! Billabong and What Youth couldn’t wait to release a year’s worth of filthy shredding from freak talents like Granger Larsen, Creed McTaggart, Ian Gentil, Ryan Callinan, Jack Freestone and the rest of Billabong’s international surf team.
Enjoy Victor Pakpour’s latest flick full of digital shorts, classic outtakes, dope music, pervy chick vision… oh ya and surfing.
Frothing over the free flick, are you? How about the new wave of fresh Billabong styles the crew was rocking? Well its all available at SWELL, so be the first to rock gear inspired by the international collective of surf addicts. Check it here.
The second annual Trestles Raid just went down, and the pack of San Clemente surf rats showed up in force. Led by Riley Metcalf aka “Captain Barbossa” and a crew twice the size as last year shredded in full costume with decorated boards to boot. The always tense line-up at Lower Trestles only had a few eggy hard board hold-outs who fileted a couple crew members, but they successfully took over the wave and already antsy for the next ambush.

Success was owed to the boys at Catchsurf, who supplied heaps of Odysea Soft-tops, Beater boards, and some explicitly themed shapes. Beater Boy Johnny Redmond was in rare form, rocking the assless chaps and other “foreign objects” to match his uber phallic sled.
Catchsurf boards aren’t your boggy Wavestorm COSTCO board either. The lightweight performance of the Odysea lets you surf it like a shortboard without the thing flexing and flopping down the face. Made in San Clemente Ca, the CatchSurf boys have debunked the soft-top stigma since the beachbreaks are littered with this safe alternative when conditions aren’t optimal for your daily driver.

Free surfer, DJ, Blogger, Commentator, and Surf personality Paul Fisher is Reef‘s global ambassador for punking everyone in the industry. Leading the new guard of surf-hard, party-hard style icons, Fisher freakishly rips and rages for all to witness on his notorious blog followthefish.tv.
Reef embraced the age of surf blogging mad-men, and their summer apparel line reflects that wild style with oversized-graphic party tees, and shorts that you can take straight from the beach to the bar.
We caught up with the Fish to check on his summer exploits, and his humor didn’t disappoint.
SWELL: Hey Fish. We heard you passed through our local breaks in Laguna Beach. How did that treat ya?
Paul Fisher: It was hilarious, the joint is milf central! Everywhere i looked there was a milf on every corner. The reef crew was there too so we had a little night out on the town down there and it was a loose little time…
SWELL: The new Follow the Fish tee is pretty crackin. You reckon the boys can get some tail by riding your coat-tails?
Paul Fisher: HAHaha its a deadly little tee. Wearing that thing and you have a 100 percent strike of getting slapped by a chick hahah or sealing the deal…
SWELL: What other clothes and travel essentials do you take on those heavy travel benders?
Paul Fisher: A couple g strings and some floss
SWELL: Will the Bareback DJs be spinning again at the US open? And what advice would you give party goers looking for a good time in HB?
Paul Fisher: Yes we will be DJing this year for sure. There so many good parties going on around that week, its incredible. My advice is don’t leave the Huntington strip or you might miss out…the women are insane on the strip… yew..
If that didn’t paint a clear enough picture of what a wildman the Fish is, look for “Bareback DJs” somewhere this summer…you might even witness his rumored affair with Lindsay Lohan.
Here’s a highlight reel of The Fish reaking havok on last year’s US Open of Surfing.
