Fresh on the virtual floor…the Quincy Davis for Volcom Collection! For the second season, surfer/model/designer/all-around East Coast beach babe, Quincy Davis teamed up with the Volcom design crew to release this special edition collab. Full of Americana, sun-bleached dyes, and wedges of bright, Summer citrus, the collection blurs the line from sand to soiree.
With roots in some of the most influential East Coast surf towns (Montawk, Rincon and New York), Quincy brings a unique blend of design and surf sub-culture to the table. And because we love bringing you uncommon goods, it seems like a perfect fit that we launch the collection here at SWELL.
“My main inspiration for creating my summer line with was to make cute pieces able to be worn from beach to street. I believe my lifestyle in Montauk really shows through my clothing style. Being at the beach or making a quick trip to NYC, my pieces from the line can be mixed and matched, dressed up or down!” – Quincy Davis

The great philosophical group, ZZ top, said it right ” She’s got legs, she knows how to use them.” Well that bearded duo definitely was wise beyond their years, even if they were not referring to working out. Working out your legs has quite a few stellar benefits. The good ol’ reliable leg workouts, (think squats, lunges, deadlifts, and rdl’s), not only get you a killer set of legs, but they also activate & work your core. Plus when you train your legs, your body has to work harder. Think of how much more out of breath you are after doing a set of heavy squats than a set of bicep curls. Yeah.
So you’ve got a set of legs… figure out how to use them, regularly. Run some stairs, go on a hike, squat, sprint, lunge, do something, but give your legs some TLC, and your whole body will reap the rewards.

With Memorial Day weekend almost here, I highly encourage you to not stress out one bit. About bikinis, swimwear, how you look, or those extra pounds you were hoping to shed that decided to extend their stay a little longer. Because guess what? No one (besides you) really cares. At the beach, most people are looking at the ocean, relaxing and enjoying themselves, not sitting there scrutinizing your body. At the pool, everyone is so content to have a body of water to dive into, they aren’t bored and looking for people to judge. And you know what? If they are, they are a douchebag. Sorry. But that’s my favorite word to describe people like that.
So don’t worry about impressing anyone. Give yourself a break, take off that coverup, dive on in, and and kick off summer feeling good.
