As if you needed another reason to love Rvca, the uber action sports /art lifestyle brand recently picked up uber model Erin Wasson to develop a signature line featuring her beachy tomboy-chic inspirations. Best known for her megga ad campaigns for Balenciaga and H&M, the line launches in January and will include cotton tank tops, denim cutoffs, a wool miniskirt, a silk button-down emblazoned with tiny thunderbolts, and a jaunty blazer with a zipper running up the back. The entire 16-piece collection will range in prices between $55 – $230. In a recent interview with WWD, Erin expalined she thinks the problem with surf and skate companies is that “…girls’ stuff tends to have a lot of pinks and blues and it’s just assumed that’s what girls want to wear… When I used to wear skate clothes the only ones I really ever loved was WESC. Volcom used to be cool but then went off the boil. I reckon this line might be something along the lines of WE, which is great news. Not all girls who love to snowboard and skate have punk taste.” Hmmm, sounds like Erin has already sewed herself some pretty big britches.
