Designers, artists, stylists, photographers, journalists, models-each with a different story, but all sharing a common goal: To make a defying mark in fashion. But as lofty as their aspirations are, more daunting is finding the right path to get them there.
 
For world renowned designer Monica Wise, creator and owner of L*Space Swimwear, her tale is far from your text book example. In fact, some would say her journey began out in left field. So there I was, miserable and suicidal about another dreary June Gloom forecast, when AOL directed me to the sunny skies of “Vanity Fair’s” website. Whoa! Like a Phoenix rising from smoldering ashes, my heart was set free to see a dazzling video and slide show of surfing’s hottest female stars. Coco Ho, Alana Blanchard, Quincy Davis, Sally Fitzgibbons, and many more are profiled as the “Tubular Girls” who will dominate the winners’ podiums for the next several years.

A quick heads up: After viewing, you’ll most likely want to hit the tanning salon and then go bikini shopping.

Those nine very telling words sum up Adam Goldstone to his core: He is a viscous murder and he really digs the scene in Southeast Asia. Need we say more?
Okay fine, here are some other interesting facts: When he’s not busy performing heinous acts of violence around San Clemente, he can be found working at the Toes on the Nose surf shop or eating a breakfast burrito.
