DECK THE HALLS

2008-01-22_110105-treehugger-corb-recliner.jpg

Before you go all hockey-temper and slam your deck on the hood of your Nova, take a deep breath and visualize the possibilities. Etnies owner Pierre-AndrĂ© Senizergues and friend Gil De Le Bon Lapointe will be exhibiting “Skate Study House” beginning Jan. 28 at Colette in Paris, and featuring modern, skate-infused recreations of basic household designs. Sure, the furniture looks cool, but can it withstand a 14-hour marathon session of Guitar Hero? Tree Hugger has more.

NEW FOR BLUE

jethro.jpg

As support for project BLUE continues to gain momentum, so do the designs and technically-advanced materials featured in their exclusive apparel and accessories line. There’s been a ton of interest in O’Neill’s latest offerings (their Jethro tee is shown above), as well as Billabong’s boardshorts which are made entirely of recycled materials including PET bottles. DESIGNER PROFILE: THERESA LAVELLE

skull.jpg

We weren’t kidding when we said our staff is among the best in the business. And nothing makes us prouder than when our proteges gain the strength and confidence to spread their wings and fly. Such is the case with Lost Girl’s designer Theresa LaVelle, who up until recently was an integral part of our art department. A major office hottie, TL was always quick with a snarky comeback when needed and down for the cause. We miss gazing at her incredible illustrations almost as much as we miss watching her leave a room. A rare mix of beauty, brains and talent, expect to see big, big things from this girl in the new year. Foam Magazine takes you closer.

HERE COMES THE SUN?

spring.JPG

As we sit here in our crumbling cube awaiting for what weather forecasters are calling the storm of the century, we are a bit bemused by the fact that our spring products have already hit our shelves. Could sunnier times really be that close at hand? It certainly looks that way. See for yourself when you check out our guys and girls new spring arrivals. Happy perving.
