QUIKSILVER DIAMOND DOBBY BOARDSHORTS NOW AVAILABLE!
February 9, 2009 PRESS RELEASE
Quiksilver is once again leading the charge in boardshort innovation with its all-new Diamond DobbyTM Technology. Diamond Dobby is the most comfortable and high-performance material that the design team at Quiksilver has ever put in a boardshort.
Because of the innovative, embossed diamond-patterned material, 30% less of the boardshort actually touches your skin resulting in a rash-free surf experience. In addition to virtually eliminating rashing and chafing, the material reaches the pinnacle of comfort and performance with 33% vertical stretch and remarkable fabric memory to maintain shape. On top of these features, the fabric is virtually weightless and dries two times faster than the average boardshort. So whether you’re charging perfect Pipe or just lounging in a hot tub, these boardshorts are designed to provide you with the most comfortable and technical in-water experience imaginable.
Check out the “Cool Out“, “Reflex“, and “Megableeker” boardshorts (pictured above, from left). These three boardshorts have already been test-run by Quiksilver Young Guns, Julian Wilson and Kiron Jabour, as they’ve pushed the limits of performance surfing on the North Shore of Oahu this season. Join their rash-free worlds with your own pair of Diamond Dobby boardshorts, and be one of the first to “Feel the Future.”Thank you for visiting the Swell blog. Did you hear that? It’s our hard ass bosses cracking the whip again. “COOLER! NEWER! BETTER!,” they scream. We never get to come down off our toes. Which is probably why we’re always a few steps ahead. Especially when it comes to discovering the best new brands. The Ryde, Insight, Hippy Tree, Few New Zealand, Analog, and GRN Apple Tree are just a handful of the up-and-coming brands we’re promoting this spring. We’ll do our best to make sure you come to know each one on a more intimate level, but for now we’d like to give you a deeper appreciation of The Ryde. (more…)
Isla Fisher knows how to fight off any winter anguish. Her outfit is delightful in every way as she pulls off this single colored look effortlessly. Who knew an outfit with the blues could be so adorable? And those colored shades are, no doubt, the frosting on the cake. Isla admitted that prior to her starring role in, Confessions of a Shopaholic, she usually played it safe when it came to fashion risks. “The most fun fashion discovery was to use a lot of color in my wardrobe. I’m fairly conservative normally, and I just feel like Patricia Field [the film’s stylist] brought out the color in me. I now love to wear color.” It seems that Isla has caught the fashion bug, and color is her muse. Inspired by her look, I have found an outfit on Swell.com that channels Isla’s, but with even more personality and flare.
