Welcome To Element’s New Home: The Branch

Sandwiched between industrial buildings and a metal shop, you would never know it’s there…aside from the skate park and urban greenery that is. Welcome to Branch, the new home of Element Skateboards. On the surface, one might think it’s a random place for a skate company. But dive into the company culture and principles, and you’ll notice that they’re right where they should be. Founded on goals of bringing progress to skateboarding and everything that surrounds them, the choice to re-purpose one of the community’s oldest hardware stores into their new home brought the ideas of growth and a commitment to nature and community full circle.

Happy Record Store Day! Celebratory Sounds + Style

Every year music enthusiasts gather on the third Saturday of April to celebrate Record Store Day. This festivity is something most vinyl junkies wait for all year.  Luckily the wait is over: April 19th has arrived! Its purpose is to celebrate the artists, fans and the culture that surrounds the independently owned record store.  Many local stores hold parties with live music, giveaways and discounts on their products.  Naturally, we want you to find the best parties and get a steal-of-a-deal, so we had our employees divulge their hot spots for shopping vinyl, rummage through their collections for their favorite album, and pass along some celebratory style….

Take a moment to visualize complete chaos. Got it? Rush hour traffic in the middle of Los Angeles is a prime example that quickly comes to my mind. Now visualize the complete opposite. If you need some help, imagine this: a nature zone with over 4,000 acres just 25 miles from downtown Los Angeles, complete with hiking trails and an iconic point break. When presented with an opportunity to escape chaos, Malibu Creek State Park was our calling.
