The Return of Bad Billy’s Billabong's Skate Collection Inspired By Youth in Revolt

The crossover between surf and skate not only drives  the progressive maneuvers, but the core clothing styles as well. Team Billabong has always led the charge and Occy in particular embodied savage style that inspired the Bad Billys collection.

Gordon Merchant founded the Bad Billy’s  line in 1987 back when Occy was reaking havoc on the world tour, and nobody would tame his bullish behavior. Its time to bring back badass Billy! billy

The new from the Bad Billys line calls upon original Sk8 (skate) style with silhouettes that will soon add include cut off muscle tees, ringer tees, and short leg cotton boardshorts. Yardage prints also play influence in the collection with a variation of original skull and crossbones patterns plastered on statement pieces. And as boardshorts continue to be a hero product of the Billabong brand, in the mix, is a unique boardie that is set on poly cotton stretch fabrics and is combined with all the technical properties of our performance boardshorts. The Skull & Crossbones logo now embodies Occy’s grom surf contest, a fitting representation for the gnarly surf that he’s pushing the groms into. Check out a decade of Occy’s Grom Comp, and pick up a pair today.
