Last week, I stepped out to the home break for a twilight slide after a long day of classes, savoring the crisp autumn air. My rigorous school schedule sometimes doesn’t allow me to paddle out until the sun is wavering on the horizon line, and even when I’m exhausted, I find that some evening noseriding is the perfect way to end my day. Nothing can beat that moment when the wind dies down, and all becomes still except for the smooth rhythm of the sea.
This isn’t your average pop-party mix, nor is SWELL’s music guru BIlly average by any measure. He left the ghost of Michael Jackson at Neverland Ranch, and opted for rocking psycho-garage-grunge that might enlighten your punk palate. From local boys like Ty Segall and the Growlers, to Sabath and Suicide. Ejoi and keep it creepy
Next time you see something beautiful, or have one of those pulls on your heartstrings moments, I want to dare you to do something. Soak that moment in, and take a mental picture first. (more…)
