The Funsie Onsie

onesie6
One of my favorite memories of Christmas as a child was waking up early, sneaking down the stairs to open presents, and staying in my pajamas all day long showing off my new toys to the neighborhood kids. Unfortunately some people grow out of some of these magical moments when they become an adult. Don’t let this happen to you, staying in your pajamas all day long is not only a possibility it’s super stylish … yes stylish. On my recent trip to the mountains I made wearing pajamas out of the house the coolest winter outfit yet.

This Tallow onsie has so many uses: wear it to bed, wear it while out holiday shopping, and, yes, wear it as you open your Christmas presents. There is no reason that us big kids can’t stay in PJ’s all day and show all our friends the new goodies! But this year I plan to sleep in! And speaking of presents, here is my holiday gift guide and wish list! (more…)

Bring on the Holidays … and Cold Weather!

fur-coat-1
The weeks and days leading up to Thanksgiving are by far some of my favorite moments of the year. Excitement is in the air as you make arrangements for all the loved ones visiting. You try to pack your weekends in with every last fall adventure you can, because as soon as December comes around you’ll switch into the winter gear and focus on the holiday season. I’m not going to complain about the summer weather that just won’t kick it here in Laguna, but I do have a pile of cold weather styles just waiting to be loved. If you can’t wear leggings and a fur coat where you are, then take a drive and find a place you can – or at least that’s what I did! Big Bear is so beautiful this time of year with the changing leaves and bitter cold wind that sweeps through the giant pine trees. I was so giddy that I could finally wrap myself in a fur coat and go for a walk in the crisp morning air. For walks along wet roads, under a canopy of changing leaves, and cool wind on your face; the best outfit to wear is a warm coat, cozy leggings, and fuzzy boots. There is no better way to get excited for the Holiday season!

WEST COASTIN’ | SAN LUIS OBISPO A Series On Sand + Sun with Guest Blogger Leah.

Novella Royale
On our long journey home from Big Sur we turned off the marked roads and headed down some less traveled paths. We followed these winding trails until we stumbled upon one of the prettiest beaches I have seen. We spent a few hours exploring the hidden beach and forgotten coastline in San Luis Obispo. I could’ve spent hours gazing at the ocean from one of the many perfect viewpoints we discovered. There is such a feeling of wonder that can only come about from experiencing the little pieces of paradise found on unplanned adventures. I had my beautiful new bells on that were perfect for climbing, finding my footing, and simply standing still to take it all in. While I gazed out at the ocean, sharp cliffs, and climbing foliage I kept the sun out of my eyes with my hat that I swear never comes off my head. Why should it? As it got a little breezier on the cliffs, I wrapped myself in my new printed jacket. Staying chic and comfortable are two things I always plan on no matter what new, spontaneous adventure may come around the corner.

West Coastin’ | Big Sur A Series On Sand + Sun with Guest Blogger Leah.

I can’t really complain about living in Southern California, but sometimes I do wish we were able to see the brilliant fall colors this season showcases. I decided a trip up north would take me to these falls colors and also give me an adventure fix.  So this past weekend I ventured up the coast headed north. With stops in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Cambria we made our way up the narrow roads to Big Sur! We decided to camp – which was chilly but so much fun. Once we pitched our tent we went out to explore what this amazing coastline has to offer. We stopped at McWay Falls, one of my favorite places to visit here and cruised all along the roads stopping in remote places that had the most spectacular views. One thing about going north is it is a little colder than I’m used to, so having some comfy jackets was a must.  Boyfriend jeans are also a perfect camping staple as they slip on easily and make a comfortable and stylish way to keep warm. Here are some snapshots from my adventures and the clothing essentials for a camping trip in Big Sur!
