Behind the Scenes Pics from the SWELL Fall Catalog Shoot

We just wrapped up shooting our Fall catalog at Casper’s Park in San Juan Capistrano. The images are beautifully shot with an ethereal feel that captures the essence of Fall. This has to be the best I’ve ever
seen the Fall product look. Some of the trends we are highlighting for Fall: light weight poncho sweaters, gauzy flowing dresses, and flared distressed denim.
Even though we haven’t quite reached Summer in Southern California yet (thanks to the June gloom), I am ready to
trade in my cropped tanks and denim shorts for a kimono style cardigan and a pair of Frye boots.

I’ve snuck some candid picture I took at the shoot of our team styling the models (and some Fall product sneak peeks!). You’re the first to see it!

Top Trend: Sheer Chiffon

Swell’s girls buyer, Hannah, talks about one of this season’s top trends: Sheer tops and chiffon dresses…
I love sheer dresses and tops for Summer. During our styling sessions, Michelle (our stylist) and I couldn’t get enough of draping delicate chiffons and crochet lace dresses over bikinis. Flip through the Swell Late Summer Catalog- you can’t miss the trend!

TOLANI: The Celebrity Must Have

One of my guilty pleasures is celebrity gossip, and what they are wearing. I hate to admit it, but I can read US Weekly from cover to end. We all know there are some celebrities out there who make us raise an eyebrow and say “What the hell is she wearing…is this a joke??” But there are others who really are style icons, with their cool effortless looks. What I would give to raid Sienna Miller, Nicole Richie, and Alexa Chung’s closets!!

Enter one of my new favorite brands Tolani:
Tolani has created a line based on global cultures as inspiration. Their prints, intricate detailing, and delicate silk fabrications have become a favorite amongst Hollywood “it” girls.
