Feeling like crap, have little to no energy, have a headache, skin is looking dull, always wanting to snack or pig out? Well here’s step 1 to help alleviate all of that: DRINK SOME WATER! (more…)
Happy Thanksgiving to you all! May you have a day filled with fun, gratitude, relaxation, and…food. Great food. Enjoy every single bite. I tend to have Thanksgiving be a splurge day, and I eat pretty much anything and everything that’s up for grabs, figure out a way to have stuffing in each bite, and wake up wishing I could just eat the pecan pie for breakfast. I must confess that I also totally kick my butt in the gym the day before, and go on a run the morning of my beloved feast. It makes smothering every single bite that I can in gravy, just that more enjoyable.
Life and fitness is all about balance, and finding yours. So give thanks for good health, family, friends, holidays…and pecan pie.
We have checklists and to-do lists for shopping, work, life, the home, homework, and school. So, why not add a daily checklist to the mix concerning something that’s just a weeeeee bit important, like your health. (more…)
If you’ve ever worn a buttery soft tee. There’s no turning back.
If you’ve ever worn jeans that are so broken in that they give your lower body a bear hug. There’s no turning back.
If you’ve lived in sweats for a week straight that are so amazing you didn’t know how your life went on before them. There’s no turning back.
Once you’ve worn a bikini that is softer than your underwear. There’s no turning back.
And once you’ve wrapped up in an oversize scarf that is second in coziness only to cuddling on the couch on a cool day while watching your favorite movie…yup. There’s no turning back.
Once you’ve gone to the comfy side, you feel a bit more laid back, relaxed, carefree, and stylish as a result. Then you tend to find ways to make comfy work, and be fashionable enough for any occasion.
So, when I am asked to describe my style, I firmly believe that comfy is a totally acceptable (and a brutally honest) answer.
