Photo Tip: Kelsey Finn

Photo Tip of the Week from photo contributor, Kelsey Finn…
Sometimes we don’t have access to a crystal clear ocean, so we must improvise! I recently took photos for the first time in an indoor pool. I faced a lot of challenges I had never experienced before. The pool was heavily chlorinated, so the water was cloudy. Usually the clarity of the water isn’t too big of a deal as long as you can make up for it with bright sunlight. Since the pool was indoors, the lighting was extremely poor. I felt defeated. But, I discovered there was a pool light underwater! I seized the opportunity to try something new and take photos that were not my typical “style.” So when conditions are not what you expected, don’t fret…embrace the moment as an opportunity to learn something and create photos entirely unexpected.
