Learn how to make a removable pom pom to add to your beanie. Because sometimes you feel like a pom, and sometimes you don’t. Read on for the 5 minute how-to…

– Crochet Beanie (pictured: Krochet Kids Beanie / *read note below for more on Krochet Kids knits for a cause)
– Pom Pom: You can buy a faux fur pom at craft stores, or remove the pom from a beanie you own. Said beanie will have to learn to share it’s pom with the rest of your beanie collection. Hey, life is hard sometimes.
– Needle / Thread
– Button

*About Krochet Kids: Help empower people to rise above poverty…while getting all snugly and styled. Each unique, crochet piece helps to create sustainable economic development programs that support holistic growth of individuals and communities within developing nations.

Step 1: Sew the button onto the bottom of your pom pom. If you need tips on how to properly sew a button, Google search that. It’s a skill that will come in handy outside of the DIY world.

Step 2: Simply insert the button into the top of the beanie, in one of the crochet holes.

P.S. See that tag on the beanie? Written on it is the name of the person who knit your beanie. You can go to the Krochet Kids website and thank the person who made it!
